COLOMBO Ambassador of VietNam to Sri Lanka, Trinh Thi Tam and Chairman of the Board of Vietravel, Nguyen Quoc Ky hosted a grand reception at the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo on Thursday, 30 July to announce their maiden flight Vietravel between Sri Lanka and Viet Nam on August 17, under the theme ‘ Viet Nam – the world of endless wonders .’
Deputy Minister of Tourism Professor Ruwan Ranasinge who was the chief guest for the occasion said introducing a flight between Viet Nam and Sri Lanka is really building a bridge of friendship between the two countries which would bring the two parties closer to each other and help build people to people contacts.
Deputy Speaker Dr Rizvi Saleh who was a special guest at event told Colombo Times “ It’s an Exciting news!! The first direct flight between Sri Lanka and Vietnam is ready to take off, bringing two beautiful” nations closer than ever.”
Ambassador Tam thanked all those who were responsible. for the introduction of the direct flights between the two countries .
Following. the dinner reception , a raffle draw was. held among the guests and the winners. we’re awarded free passage to and from Colombo to Viet Nam including lodging .
