COLOMBO : Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Qatar, Mohamed Mafaz Mohideen, has extended an invitation to Sri Lankan entrepreneurs to explore the lucrative market of Qatar.
During today’s meeting with Mizver Makeen, Managing Director of Macksons Holdings, and Mr. Fahmy Niyas Yousuf, General Manager of Al-Hetmi Trading & Contracting Co. Qatar, Mohideen expressed his support and willingness to assist Sri Lankan entrepreneurs in entering the Qatar market with their unique products and services.
Qatar’s fast-growing economy and expanding infrastructure offer an excellent opportunity for Sri Lanka’s entrepreneurs to establish themselves in a new market and reach a wider audience.
Qatar also presents a significant demand for high-quality goods and services, providing a gateway to the greater GCC region. Sri Lanka is already a significant exporter of tea, textiles, spices, and other products to Qatar, and H.E. Mohideen hopes to further strengthen these ties through enhanced economic cooperation.
Mohideen’s call to Sri Lankan entrepreneurs is part of his broader efforts to boost bilateral trade and investment relations between Sri Lanka and Qatar. With the ambassador’s encouragement and support, Sri Lankan entrepreneurs are invited to explore the opportunities available to them to expand into Qatar. The Sri Lankan Embassy in Qatar is also available to assist them in entering the Qatari market.
With growing bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Qatar, the time is right for Sri Lankan businesses to tap into the expanding GCC market.
