KPMG webinar on “Supply Chain Resilience in the face of adversity”

The environment changes rapidly so should the supply chains

COLOMBO : The KPMG Academy enlightens the decision makers on “Supply Chain Resilience in the face of adversity” at the Friday Mid-Afternoon from 3.00 PM onwards Chat on Friday, March 12.

The session will be conducted by Ms. Kamaya Perera, Partner – Advisory – Management Consulting of KPMG.

Supply chain disruptions have significant impacts globally. In a survey carried out among Supply Chain Leaders back in 2018, Global epidemics was given a low focus for risk mitigation efforts. For low-probability, high-impact “black swan” events like COVID 19, standard risk models fall short. The spread of COVID-19 has become a top risk for supply chain managers which is now being felt across multiple industries. The impact has become very challenging to model and evaluate, and a majority of the local organizations are already experiencing significant levels of supply chain disruption. Therefore, the following areas need to be addressed and will be discussed during our webinar:

·       Visibility and Transparency

·       Automation and Digitalization

·       Agility & Remote working

·       Explorations of Alternatives

·       Re-definition of priorities

·       Resource Optimization
