COLOMBO :The KPMG Sri Lanka Academy has organized a Virtual Assembly on the “Inland Revenue Amendment Act No. 04 of 2023”. The webinar is scheduled for the 23rd of May 2023 from 10.00 to 11.30 AM.
The Inland Revenue (Amendment) Act No. 04 of 2023 was certified on the 8th of May and hence has been added to the Statutes of Sri Lanka. The amendment Act includes new significant provisions which were not part of the Inland Revenue Bill.
The new Amendment sets out rules pertaining to claiming of tax refunds, tax concessions for BOI companies and clarity on cash payments, provisions impacting Port City, clarity on administrative review process, enhanced capital allowances and amendments to exemptions etc.
The effective dates of the provisions are varied and is of importance in understanding the impact stemming from the amendment to the Law.
The session will be conducted by Mr. Suresh Perera – Principal, Ms. Rifka Ziyard – Principal and Ms. Hasna Hassan – Director, Tax & Regulatory at KPMG in Sri Lanka.
