COLOMBO : The KPMG Sri Lanka Academy is to host its 33rd virtual session of the “Friday Mid-Afternoon Chat” series in early June.
The webinar will be on “Income Tax – Restoring the Status Quo”. It is scheduled for the 3rd of June 2022 from 3.00 to 4.00 PM.
Inland Revenue Act No.24 of 2017 was introduced w.e.f. the Y/A 2018/19 as per the recommendations of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). From the beginning of 2020, via several press notices many reforms were introduced that were subsequently legislated. At present, the discussion is around restoring the Status Quo of the Income Tax regime that prevailed before 2020. This program will analyze the pre and post 2020 Income Tax regime and impact of the restoration of the Status Quo.
The virtual session will be conducted by Mr. Suresh Perera – Principal, Tax & Regulatory, Ms. Hasna Hassan – Director, Tax & Regulatory and Ms. Sachithra Chandrasena – Associate Director, Tax & Regulatory at KPMG.
