It was organized by the Ministry of Buddhasasana , Religious and Cultural Affairs, the Department of Cultural Affairs and the State Advisory Council of Radio of the Arts Council of Sri Lanka under the patronage of State Minister of National Heritage, Performing Arts and Rural Arts Promotion Vidura Wickramanayaka, M.P
Vasantham FM and Vasantham TV (Independent Television Network) M. Kavitha Barathi received two awards for Best News Reader and Best Programe Trailor for the year 2020 at this ceremony.
