COLOMBO – The Islamic Society of Isipathana College hosted its 48th Annual Islamic Day Celebration, Noor ’25 – Light Upon Light, on Thursday April 30 at Elphinstone Theatre drawing an audience of nearly 600 students, parents, teachers, distinguished guests, and well-wishers.
The event was graced by the presence of Principal D. P. Udawathage and Chief Guest Marshard Barrie , Board, Director of the Centre of Islamic Studies, Deputy Head of Orphan Care Amana Bank. The gathering was further enriched by an inspiring address delivered by Guest Speaker Nasik Farook Madani, MA in Pali and Buddhist Studies – University of Kelaniya.
Organized under the leadership of President Ahamed Saif and Secretary Umar Faizal, with Event Chairperson Yaasir Rikaz and Event Secretary Aaqib Nazran, the ceremony celebrated faith, knowledge, unity, and student excellence through an evening of recognition and reflection.
Among the highlights of the event, Muslim Ladies’ College emerged as Overall Champions, with Royal College finishing as Runners-up. In the Debate Competition, Muslim Ladies’ College secured the championship title, while Khairiya College were declared Runners-up.
Noor ’25 – Light Upon Light stood as a memorable celebration of Islamic values, scholarship, and youth leadership, reflecting the continued legacy of the Islamic Society of Isipathana College
