TEHRAN
Irn the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful This year, the spiritual spring of the holy month of Ramadan, the natural spring of Nowruz, and the festival of Eid al-Fitr come together. On the occasion of these religious and national celebrations, I extend my Eid al-Fitr greetings first to all the people of Iran, and especially to all Muslims around the world.
I consider it my duty to express my deep condolences and sympathy to the families of all the martyrs, including the honorable ones who lost their lives in the wars imposed upon us, the border security forces, and the unknown soldiers.
Military and Security Challenges of the Year 1404
At the beginning of the new solar year 1405, it is necessary to review some important events of the past.
In the past year, our beloved people faced three types of military and security conflicts. The first took place in the month of Khordad. During this time, unjust attacks were carried out by Zionist enemies with direct support from the United States. In those attacks, nearly 1,000 of our nation’s finest commanders, leading scientists, and our companions lost their lives.
Based on a miscalculation, the enemy believed that it could overthrow the Islamic system within a few days. However, your awareness and the unmatched courage of Islamic fighters destabilized the enemy. In the end, they were forced into a position where they had to seek a ceasefire.
The second conspiracy took place last January. The United States and Zionist forces imagined that they could exploit economic hardships to turn the Iranian people in their favor. As a result, several tragic incidents occurred, and many of our companions were martyred.
The third struggle is the unjust situation that we are still facing. As a result, we bid farewell with tears to our great leader, who was like a compassionate father to the nation. The pain of that loss is still felt by the Iranian people today.
From the Minab schoolchildren to members of the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC), police forces, and Basij, many have joined this journey of light as martyrs.
The Awakening of the People and National Unity
The enemy sought to create fear and despair among us. However, the Iranian people turned those intentions into empty dreams and demonstrated their unshakable strength
During this blessed month, you have combined fasting with resistance and created a strong protective shield across the nation. Through the February 11 (Bahman 22) Revolution Day marches and the international Quds Day mobilizations, you have shown the world that Iran is not driven merely by missiles and drones, but by the strength of its people.
I appreciate the President and officials for understanding the needs of the people and working alongside them.
Theme of the Year 1405
“A Resilient Economy under the Shadow of National Unity and Security”
The main objective of the enemies is to exploit our economic weaknesses.
Therefore, ensuring the livelihood of the people, improving infrastructure, and creating prosperity are our shield against this economic war.
I have personally made efforts to understand the real needs of the people. I traveled in ordinary taxis in Tehran and listened to people’s conversations.
Their criticisms and suggestions have taught me many valuable lessons. Based on these experiences, a new expert-driven economic plan will soon be implemented by the authorities.
Accordingly, I declare this year’s official slogan as: “ A Resilient Economy under the Shadow of National Unity and Security .”
Relations with Neighboring Countries
Our relationship with neighboring countries is not merely geographical; it is also a spiritual and cultural bond.
I call for unity and strong relations especially among our brotherly nations, Afghanistan and Pakistan. The attacks that occurred in Turkey and Oman have no connection with Iran. They are conspiracies carried out by Zionist enemies to create division among us.
May the coming New Year be filled with success for our nation, our neighboring countries, and the entire Muslim Ummah
I especially pray for divine support for the forces resisting occupation.
May God’s peace and blessings be upon you.
