COLOMBO — The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of Iran in Colombo organized Meelad un Nabi Celebrations (Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday) and Holy Quran Competition Awards Ceremony was held at the Cultural Center Auditorium on Saturday October 8. It was held under the patronage of Cultural Counsellor Dr. B. Moazami Goodarzi.
Winner of the Quirath Competition Al Hafil Yoosuf Jameel received the award from chief guest Member of the Parliament Marjan Faleel.
Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sri Lanka Hashem Ashjazadeh, Cultural Counsellor Dr. B. Moazami Goodarzi also distributed awards and certificates to the winners of the competition.
Defence Attache Col. Homayun Aliyar, Chief of Political Section Seyyed Mostafa Hashemi , Chief of Economic and Consular Section K. Soheil, Project Chairman Principal of Madarasathul Hudhaa Al Qari Nuhuman Athas, parents of the prize winners and invitees graced the ceremony.
