IPL Auction 2022: Auction ends – 5 Sri Lankan players sold for total of LKR 388 Mn

BANGALORE : Sri Lankan all rounder Wanindu Hasaranga received the highest bid among the Sri Lanka cricketers at the auctions held in Bangaluru concluded on Sunday. Hasaranga will be part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who made the highest of INR 10.75 crore (LKR 288 Mn) after bid wars with multiple teams.


The other Sri Lankan players who were sold included :
Dushmantha Chameera – Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) – INR 2 Cr (LKR 54 mn)
Maheesh Theekshana – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) – INR 70 Lakhs (LKR 19 mn)
Chamika Karunarathne – Kolkata Knight riders (KKR) – INR 50 Lakhs (LKR 13.5 Mn)
Bhanuka Rajapakse – Punjab Kings (PBKS) – INR 50 Lakhs (LKR 13.5 Mn)

204 players were sold at the IPL auction 2022 out of which 67 players were foreign players (non-indian players). Total money spent by the 10 teams is a whopping INR 5,51,70,00,000. (RZ)
