SHARJAH : Mumbai Indians (MI) grabbed valuable 2 points by humbling the Rajasthan Royals in a low scoring match. Batting first RR was only able to reach 90 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Nathan Coulter (4 wickets for 14 runs) , Neesham (3 wickets for 12 runs ), Bumrah (2 wickets for 14 runs) were the striking bowlers MI.
Chasing the modest total, Ishan k=Kishan (50 off 25 balls) & Captain Rohit Sharma (22 off 13 balls) were determined to reach the target in a hurry to improve the net run rate. MI did reach the target with 70 balls remaining. MI scored 94 runs for the loss of only 2 wickets to win by 8 wickets.
MI is now levelled with KKR on 12 points however stands at 5th position due to the negative run rate. For Kolkata Night Riders (KKR) the last match will be on 8th October (Thursday) against RR while MI will play Sun Risers Hyderabad on 9th of October (Friday).
