COLOMBO – Book Launch of VERAAKAA VERKAL, (Inseparable Roots) – an anthology of short stories written in Tamil by N. Najmul Hussain will be held on July 6,Sunday at 3.45 pm at Bahardeen Auditorium, Al Hidaya College, Sri Sangarajah Mawatha, Colombo 10 under the auspices of Sri Lanka Islamic Arts and Literary Association.
The function will be presided by Thamil Thendral Ali Akbar, president of the association. Rauf Hakeem M.P, Leader of Muslim Congress, will honour the occasion as the Chief Guest. Puravalarr Al Haj Hassim Omar, Advisor of SLBC, participates as the Special Guest while Al Haj Dr. M. C. Bahardeen will receive the first copy of the book.
The chief editor of Thinakaran and Thinakaran Varamanjari Senthil Velavar will be the guest of honour.
Dignitaries like Dr. Gnanasekeran, Editor, Gnanam, Sri Gajan, Editor Virakesari, Siva Ramasamy, Editor, Thamilan, Mohamed Rasooldeen, Editor, Colombo Times will be present along with many literary personalities.
