COLOMBO:
Indonesian Ambassador Dewi Gustina Tobing led a delegation consisting of 30 Sri Lankan
business persons to attend several international events held in Jakarta.
Indonesia – South and Central Asia (Inasca) Business Forum in October, 7, 2024, is an
event initiated by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen the economic
relations between Indonesia and the South and Central Asia region. There are four main
sectors that potentially to be developed namely: energy security, agriculture and food security,
health and trade.
During the event, there have been 5 MOU signed between Indonesian and Sri Lankan
companies.
The Delegation also attended the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2024 on 9 – 12 October 2024, an annual event that showcases Indonesian products and commodities for export. TEI is divided into three zones which are Food and beverage, Agriculture and manufacturing, Home-living, fashion and services. The Sri Lankan delegation had the opportunity to do business matching.
In addition, the delegation also participated in the Indonesia Downstream Palm Oil Business Forum on 10 October 2024, an event initiated by Indonesian Foreign Affairs to improve the Indonesian palm oil downstream industry. The Sri Lankan delegation had the opportunity to do business matching.
