Indonesian embassy in Colombo opens condolence book for its 9th Vice President,who passed away in Jakarta

COLOMBO  :  Indonesian embassy here will open a condolence book from Monday,July 29 for its countrymen, well- wishers and friends to register their sympathies to the family of  former Vice President Hamzah who died on July 24, at his home in Tegalan. He was 84 years 

The condolence will be kept opened from 10 am to 12 noon and 1.30 to 3 pm from Monday July 29,  through Wednesday.

Hamzah Haz was buried at the family cemetery complex in Cisarua, Bogor after noon prayers.

Hamzah Haz was born on February 15, 1940. He served as the ninth Vice President of Indonesia from 2001 to 2004 under President Megawati Sukarnoputri. Prior to becoming vice president, Hamzah was a cabinet minister and a member of the House of Representatives (DPR).
