COLOMBO: The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in partnership with the Sri Lanka Indonesia Friendship Association (SLIFA) will be organizing a Cultural and Charity Bazaar on Saturday, 1st October 2022 at premises of the Embassy of Indonesia, 400/50 Sarana Road, Colombo 7 between 10.00 am and 4 pm to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Sri Lanka and the 30th Anniversary of SLIFA.
The Cultural and Charity Bazaar will have trade stalls, displaying and selling a wide range of cuisine from Indonesia and Sri Lanka in addition to jewellery, clothing, batiks, household items, handicrafts, cosmetics, fancy items, carpets, etc.
The cultural show which will commence at 10.30 am and feature dance acts, music, songs, and other performances from Indonesia and Sri Lanka.
SLIFA has been to organizing bazaars, cultural shows, food fiestas, get-togethers, picnics, film shows, and publishing newsletters and so on whereby the people of Sri Lanka have been brought in close contact with the arts and crafts, music and dance and every aspect of the variegated culture of Indonesia.
Her Excellency Dewi Gustina Tobing, Ambassador of Indonesia in Sri Lanka as the Patron of SLIFA will declare open the event.
The proceeds ot this event will be donated to charity.
