COLOMBO — The Embassy of Indonesia and the Indonesian community in Sri Lanka celebrated their 79th Independence Day of Indonesia at the embassy premises on Saturday August 17.
The National Flag of Indonesia was hoisted by Ambassador Dewi Gustina Tobing at the Indonesia Embassy in Colombo. The Ambassador addressed the gathering and cut the anniversary cake.
The event was attended by a large number of participants including religious leaders, Indonesian Community, officials and families of the Embassy, local dignitaries, Officials of the Sri Lankan Indonesia Friendship Association, Representatives of Muslim Institutions, Students of Royal College, St. Thomas Catholic School and Harcourt’s International School, and friends of Indonesia were present.
