The Embassy of Indonesia and the Indonesian community in Sri Lanka celebrated the 78th Independence Day of Indonesia at the mission’s premises on Thursday, Aug 17
Indonesian Ambassador Dewi Gustina Tobing hoisted the national flag of her country in a ceremony held at the Indonesian Embassy in Colombo. The Ambassador addressed the gathering and cut the anniversary cake.
The event was attended by a large number of participants including religious leaders, Indonesian Community, officials and families of the Embassy, local dignitaries, Officials of the Sri Lankan Indonesia Friendship Association, Representatives of Muslim Institutions, Students of Royal College and Sanka Samudhi Foundation, Journalists and friends of Indonesia and Counselor Boyke Nooruddin were present.
