COLOMBO – C.D. Wickramaratne has been given another service extension as the Inspector General of Police.
Police Spokesperson SSP Nihal Thalduwa said on Friday, Oct, 13 that a three-week service extension was granted with immediate effect.
C.D. Wickramaratne was scheduled to retire from the post of Inspector General of Police on the 23rd of March 2023.
However, the President extended his service on several occasions.
As the 35th Inspector General of Police in Sri Lanka, C.D. Wickramaratne assumed his duties as the Inspector General of Police on November 27, 2020
