MUSCAT : The ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup will commence on Sunday, October 17 and the Final is set to unfold on November,14th. 45 matches will be worked out in venues in UAE and Oman.
The opening matches on Sunday, will be ‘Round 1’ matches where 8 teams are competing for the final four spots in the Super 12’s.
The curtain raiser will be between Oman and Papua New Guinea at 3.30 pm (IST) and Bangladesh will clash with Scotland at 7.30 pm (IST). Both matches will be held in Oman.
West Indies are the defending world champions and only two-time winners of the ICC T20 World Cup. They won against Sri Lanka in 2012 and then four years later in 2016 West Indies defended the title against England.
