COLOMBO : The state health nurses’ unions went on a nationwide token strike from 7.00 am to 12.00 noon on Moinday, Sept.27 demanding the suspension of Rs. 7500.00 special allowance and the other payments due for their basic necessities.
Hundreds of nurses were on strike in front of the Colombo National Hospital this afternoon representing at 44 groups among the state health nurses’ unions.
