COLOMBO : The Department of Excise announced today that liquor license fees have been revised with immediate effect, following a proposal recently presented to Parliament by the President.
Under the new regulations, the annual excise license fee, the one-time fee for industry entry, and the security deposit amount have all been increased.
While the revised fee structure takes effect immediately, payments under the new rates will be applicable from January 1, 2026, according to the Department of Excise.
