COLOMBO : The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to India, Mahishini Colonne, visited the Sushma
Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS) and met with the Dean of the Institute,
Ambassador Raj Kumar Srivastava on Tuesday, 04 August
During the meeting, the High Commissioner was briefed on the work and activities of the
Institute, including its role in training Indian diplomats and diplomats from partner countries.
The discussions also focused on opportunities to further strengthen cooperation in diplomatic
training under the existing Memorandum of Understanding between the Bandaranaike
International Diplomatic Training Institute (BIDTI) of Sri Lanka and the Sushma Swaraj
Institute of Foreign Service.
The High Commissioner and the Dean exchanged views on possible avenued for enhancing
collaboration through capacity building, professional exchanges, and the sharing of best
practices in diplomatic training.
