COLOMBO : State Minister for COVID Disease Control Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle has appealed to all Sri Lankans, including those living abroad to assist local hospitals in every possible way.
The state minister was making the statement on Friday ,August 27, during a ceremony held to receive the Covid medical equipment donated by the National Christian Council.
Speaking to reporters on Friday (27), the State Minister said that with the rise in COVID-19 patients being admitted to the hospitals, those hospitals are in need of medical supplies and other necessities. “ Please help the neighboring hospitals in your area because they are in need of medical supplies and equipment because of the rising number of Covid patients in the country,” the state minister noted.
On Thursday, she said the unvaccinated people not to be choosy of the vaccines and she requested them to get themselves inoculated with the available vaccines within their reach. “ We cannot wait without vaccines,” she stressed.
