COLOMBO : Halal Assessment Council Extends Its Best Wishes on the 95th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia On the occasion of the 95th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to the leadership and people of the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia remains a key partner for Sri Lanka, particularly in Halal-certified food and beverage exports, with exports to the Kingdom estimated at USD 73 million in 2024. This robust trade stands as recognition of the deep trust placed in Sri Lankan products and the growing opportunities for collaboration in the region. The Halal Assessment Council’s recognition by both the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) stands as a testament to our commitment to upholding the highest levels of compliance and integrity. This recognition not only enables market access but also strengthens confidence among exporters and consumers alike. We remain dedicated to enhancing bilateral trade with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a high-income economy and one of the most dynamic markets in the Middle East.
