COLOMBO: The Ministry of Health has decided to take over hospitals that can provide treatment and facilities to a larger number of people and to transform those into COVID-19 treatment facilities immediately.
This decision was taken at an action committee meeting chaired by Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi on Wednesday , Ministry announced here .
The Committee also discussed the need to allocate supplementary funds from the Ministry of Health for the construction of new centers and to obtain additional funding from the World Bank and the Asian Development Board.
