COLOMBO: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is introducing a new “Hajj Without Luggage” service for 2026, aimed at making the pilgrimage more convenient and comfortable for pilgrims.
Under the initiative, pilgrims will not need to carry heavy baggage or wait at airports, as their luggage will be transported separately and delivered directly to their hotels in Makkah or Madinah.
Travelers will only carry essential items in a small bag, allowing them to focus more on their spiritual journey rather than logistical challenges.
Officials say the service is designed to improve the overall pilgrim experience, particularly benefiting elderly pilgrims and large groups, by reducing physical strain and travel delays.
