COLOMBO — The 30th Annual General Meeting of the Zahira College Group of 80s (G80) was held at the Ramada Hotel, Colombo, recently. T. Hadjireen Rasiff was elecred as President for the year 2025/26 term.
In his address, outgoing President M.M.M. Muinudeen expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all G80 members and his Executive Committee for their unwavering support during his tenure, while extending best wishes to the new President and his team for a successful year ahead.
New oPresident Hadjireen Rasiff commended the commendable work carried out by the outgoing president and his team and urged all members to unite in taking the association to greater heights.
The evening also featured special felicitations — Rayaan Booso, son of a G80 member, was honored for winning the bronze medal at the International Science and Maths Olympiad held in Malaysia. Additionally, G80 teams that triumphed at the OBA Sports event were recognised for their achievements.
The memorable event concluded with a fellowship dinner, reflecting the strong camaraderie and enduring spirit of the Group of ‘80s fraternity.
