
COLOMBO – a one-day session on Educational Motivation and Psychological Wellbeing was held at the Taj Samudra Hotel for Grade 5 and 6 students on Sunday October 5.
The session focused on psychological wellbeing, relaxation activities, communication skills, problem-solving, leadership skills, psychosocial activities, and social skills, with a significant emphasis on group work and educational motivation.
A sign-out session was conducted for parents, highlighting the importance of children’s psychological wellbeing both at home and outside.
The resource persons for the program were Zohair A. Cader, Master Trainer; Ahamed Ifthikar, Psychologist; and M.R.M. Ilmy, retired Guidance and Counseling In-Service Advisor, who successfully conducted the session.
The Young Achievers Foundation (YAF) Lanka provided a certain number of scholarships for underprivileged and potential children from government schools, and Aventra Health Care provided media sponsorship. Finally, all participants received certificates for their active participation in the event.
