COLOMBO- Recipient of government allowances who were asked to report to their respective post offices got their dues in some of the points and some others were disappointed since their paying offices were closed on Friday.
Since the travel restrictions were imposed on May 21, the regular beneficiaries of pensions and charity fund were asked to report to their respective post offices on Friday and Saturday.
In Colombo, most of the offices made their payments to the beneficiaries who turned up at the post offices on Friday . However, post offices in Grandpass and Kotahena were closed due to some officers getting Covid infected in the respective offices.
