PUTTALAM ; A suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of Adambawa Abdul Latheef, The father of freelance journalist A.L. Irfan.
The victim, a resident of 4th Cross Street, Rathmalyaya, Thillaiyadi, was found killed on the Sunday morning on February 22. He had been reported missing since 9:00 PM the previous night after leaving his home in his red three-wheeler.
Following an intensive investigation by the Puttalam Police, one individual has been taken into custody. The victim’s body was discovered in a garden area near Kallady, while his vehicle was found abandoned in a separate location at the rear of Al-Qasimi City.
Authorities are currently interrogating the suspect to determine the motive behind the murder and to identify any others involved in the crime.
