BATTICALOA: Th 22nd Commemorative event of Founder leader SLMC, late MHM Ashraff, will be held in Akkaraipattu, Aynah Beach Auditorium, at 3.30 pm, on Friday, September,16.
Party leader Rauff Hakeem MP will preside over the event. One of the friends of the late leader Ashraff, a poet and South Indian film actor Jayabalan will grace the occasion as chief guest while Professor Rameez Abdullah, Head of Tamil language at South Eastern University will deliver the Commemoration Speech.Party Chairman and former North-Eastern Councillor A.L.Abdul Majeed will speak on “Current Political scenario and SLMC”, followed by a series of other events.
SLMC High Command Members, party members and well-wishers from all over the country will participate on this occasion.
Late leader Ashraff died in a Helicopter crash with a few others on the same day in the year 2000. Since then SLMC has been annually observing the event in memory of its founder leader.
