COLOMBO: Former SLPP member Shiraz Yoonus has been appointed as National Organizer of the National Unity Alliance on Monday, Jan,24.
Former Western Province Governor and leader of the National Unity Alliance Azath Salley told Colombo Times that his party is delighted to welcome a well-known person of Yoonus’ calibre who can work at the national level for the good of the nation . “We are going to contest at all elections and we welcome all, those who want to join us,” Salley said that he is planning to contest at all electorates in upcoming elections.
“ I joined NUA since it’s a party that works for all ethnic groups thereby we can work without racism,” Yoonus said, hoping to serve his new party with full of enthusiasm and public cooperation.
