Former Muslim World League Secretary General Abdullah Naseef Passes Away in Jeddah

JEDDAH : – Dr. Abdullah bin Omar bin Muhammad Naseef, former Secretary General of the Muslim World League and Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, has died in Jeddah after a long illness, national media reported.
Naseef, 86, passed away in Jeddah following an extended illness. He previously served as Secretary General of the Muslim World League and as Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council.
Officials confirmed that his funeral prayers would be held on Sunday, Oct. 12, at Al-Juffali Mosque in Jeddah, with burial to follow at Asad Cemetery.

Former Colombo Mayor Hussein Mohamed described his demise as an irreparable loss to the Muslim world.

“ His services to the world community will be remembered forever, said Mohamed,who was one time Sri ,Lankan ambassador in Saudi Arabia.
