Former Deputy Minister of Higher Education Myown Musthaffa passes away at 67

COLOMBO- Myown Musthaffa,former Deputy Minister of Higher Education, well-known businessman and philanthropist passed away at his residence in Kirulapone early morning on Saturday August 26.

His remains will be at his residence at  Prime Residences 15, Rajawatte Terrace, off Siebel Avenue, Kirulapone and will be moved for burial at the Mohideen Jumma Mosque at Kalubowila, Dehiwela at 7.30 pm on Saturday, Aug 26

He was the beloved Son of Marhoom Meera Mohideen and Marhooma Fathima, devoted husband of Marhooma Sabrina Musthaffa and Manal Musthaffa and adored father of Rizley, Rizna, Ramley, Sarah, Shafraz, Shakeel and Shanaz 

Two days before his death, when Mustafa was interviewed 

by  the Muhabath TV, he said the parents should enforce a control over their children in the use of social websites. ” parents are unaware of their children’s movements in these portals and it can lead to serious consequences.”

It is sad,he said, ” everyone at an household has a phone and elders are unaware of what others are uprto in their respective phones.”

The maximum use of cellphones have reduced the reading habit of the users and this is another disadvantage in the use of mobile phones,he concluded
