COLOMBO ‘FORM UNBOUND’ ART & SCULPTURE EXHIBITION AT ART O’ SAN GALLERY, LUNA MEWS
FORM UNBOUND presents a compelling artistic dialogue where architecture and sculpture converge to explore the connections between form, space, spirituality, and perception.
Featuring works by Lakshan Perera of Mac Sha Design Studio and Sachith Vithanage, the exhibition examines the dynamic interplay between built environments and abstract expression. Through their unique creative approaches, both artists transcend the physicality of form, revealing deeper emotional, experiential, and philosophical dimensions.
LAKSHAN PERERA | MAC SHA DESIGN STUDIO
Born in 1996, Lakshan Perera is a Sri Lankan architect and self-taught sculptor whose practice centres on transforming reclaimed scrap metal into compelling sculptural works. Inspired by the textures, histories, and inherent qualities of found materials, he assembles minimalist compositions that encourage personal interpretation. Each piece remains deliberately open, allowing viewers to discover meaning through their own experiences, memories, and perspectives.
SACHITH VITHANAGE
Born in 1998, Sachith Vithanage explores the dynamic relationship between light, form, and space through both art and architecture. Combining architectural discipline with luminous, layered pigments, he creates evocative works where structures, landscapes, and human presence coexist. His compositions capture the essence of place, revealing the delicate balance between reality and imagination.
Traversing the realms of structure and spirit, FORM UNBOUND invites audiences into a space where the physical and the metaphysical converge. Here, architecture becomes a medium of expression, sculpture becomes a vehicle for reflection, and form itself transforms into a catalyst for imagination and contemplation.
Visitors are invited to engage with a compelling exploration of presence, perception, and the unseen dimensions that shape our experience of the world.
The exhibition will be open to the public from 19–28 June 2026 at Art O’ San Gallery, founded by Sandeepa Vithanage, located at Luna Mews, Ward Place, Colombo 07, from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
