COLOMBO : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism has been closely following the case of Mr. Anojan Sivarasa, a Sri Lankan national, currently undergoing judicial proceedings in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement issued in Friday ,Sept.18, it says ; “The Ministry, through the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Riyadh and in coordination with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Colombo, continues to monitor the developments.
The Ministry remains engaged with the relevant Saudi authorities through diplomatic channels and is taking appropriate steps to safeguard Mr. Sivarasa’s interests and provide him with all possible assistance.”
