Felicitations From Sri Lankan Ambassador in Saudi Arabia,Omar Lebbe Ameer Ajwad

On the Occasion of 95th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

RIYADH : I have the honour to extend my warmest greetings and felicitations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul Azeez Al-Saud and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia His Royal Highness Muhammed bin Salman bin Abdul Azeez Al-Saud as well as the Government and the friendly People of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the happy occasion of the 95th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

While Sri Lanka and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia maintain a long historical relations that began in the 7th Century AD, when the King of Sri Lanka named Aggabodhi III (623 – 640 AD) dispatched his Envoy from Sri Lanka to Medina Al-Munawwarah on a fact finding mission at the time of the holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him), both countries have recently celebrated a milestone in their bilateral relations commemorating 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Saudi Arabia has emerged as a global economic and technological hub under its Vision 2030. As the countries share the objectives of this vision, both Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia are is well poised to synergise and forge partnerships in the areas of mutual interest.

I take this opportunity to extend my best wishes for the good health and personal well-being of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul AzeezAl-Saud and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia His Royal Highness Muhammed bin Salman bin Abdul Azeez Al-Saud, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly People of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
