KANDY
Fathima Rizla Rafeek of Katgosthota, Kandy has been selected to the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS). She is the only Muslim administrative service officer selected from the Kandy district.
A graduate in Applied Sciences from the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, she excelled in both the competitive examination and the interview for selection into the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, obtaining top marks.
Rizla Rafeek holds diploma qualifications in Information Technology, Psychology, and English Language Education, and is proficient in all three languages (Sinhala, Tamil, and English).
A former student of Kandy Girls’ High School, she served as the coordinator of the school’s Islamic Majlis and actively participated in various school societies including the Science Society.
She is the daughter of Mr. Alhaj Rasheed M. Rafeek of Ududeniya and Mrs. Rizana Rafeek of Wattegama, and the wife of S. Bilal from Wellawatte, Colombo.
