DUBAI : The SLBC of Dubai & Northern Emirates is pleased to announce the launch of their Ladies Wing, a platform dedicated to empowering women and nurturing business ideas for positive change within the community. This historic event took place at the hotel Pullmen City Centre, Dubai on Sunday, Oct.15 of Oct.
The event tuned out to be an inspiring gathering of like-minded women eager to make a difference and to contribute to the community at large while pursuing their ambitious and enjoyable life goals.
The SLBC Ladies Wing is an initiative proposed by the female entrepreneurs within the membership. Tariq Qureshi, Director, business development for SLBC embraced this excellent idea and supported the initiative wholeheartedly. SLBC has a longstanding commitment to promoting women’s empowerment, gender equality, and leadership in various fields. The formation of the Ladies Wing marks a significant milestone in advancing the mission of the SLBC, creating a specialized platform for women to connect, collaborate, and bring about meaningful change, said Mrs. Thushani Swaminathan who has been an active member and female entrepreneur in Dubai.
The inaugural meeting featured distinguished speakers and discussions on topics of paramount importance to women entrepreneurs. Amongst them were Ms. Kiru Kishokumar who shared her thoughts on “well-being” and “loving yourself’ – topics that is becoming truly critical for entrepreneurs in this dynamic and challenging business climate.
“The event provided a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with experts, share experiences, and network with other dynamic women in the region”, said Ms Hashini Kannangara, Board Secretary of the SLBC, who was the main coordinator for the event.
