Dear Muslim Brothers and Sisters of the friendly nation of Sri Lanka,
Peace and God’s blessings be upon you.
Eid al-Adha is a sublime manifestation of sincere devotion and a profound symbol of submission to the Divine Will; a blessed occasion on which the spirit of faith rediscovers itself in the mirror of purity and sincerity, and humanity transcends the self in pursuit of closeness to Almighty God.
I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on this great Eid to all honorable and faithful Muslims of Sri Lanka. I pray to Almighty God to accept your prayers and acts of worship, and to bestow His abundant blessings, mercy, and peace upon all Muslims.
It is my sincere hope that, under the light of this blessed occasion, the bonds of brotherhood, solidarity, and spirituality among the Islamic Ummah will grow ever stronger.
May we all remain guided and blessed by the grace and mercy of Almighty God along this path of devotion and servitude.
