Eid Al Fitr Message
COLOMBO : On the joyous occasion of Eid Al Fitr, we extend my heartfelt greetings and warm wishes to all members of the Muslim community in Sri Lanka and around the world.
Eid is a time of gratitude, reflection, and unity. It reminds us of the values of compassion, generosity, and sacrifice, encouraging us to strengthen our bonds with family, friends, and the wider community.
As we mark this blessed occasion, we are also mindful of the challenges facing our country and the wider world today. The ongoing conflicts and wars in many parts of the world, along with the continuing economic hardships, have brought uncertainty and difficulty to countless lives. Closer to home, the economic crisis has affected families and communities, placing strain on livelihoods and daily living.
In these testing times, it is especially important for us as Muslims to remain united, patient, and resilient. We must support one another, extend our compassion to those in need, and play a constructive role in rebuilding hope within our society. Let us also remember in our prayers those who are affected by conflict, hardship, and loss.
Let this Eid be a reminder of our shared responsibility to promote peace, understanding, and solidarity. Through unity, faith, and collective effort, we can overcome challenges and contribute positively towards the stability and progress of our nation.
May this Eid bring peace, hope, and prosperity to our country and to the world at large, and inspire us all to work together towards a more just and compassionate society.
On behalf of the Sri Lanka Islamic Centre, we wish you and your loved ones a blessed and joyous Eid.
Eid Mubarak!
