COLOMBO : The fourth day of the “Ehi Passiko” global peace walk commenced Saturday (25) from the Vidyawardhana Pothgul Viharaya in Mawanella.
Led by Venerable Pannakara Thero, the group of monks began the fourth leg of the journey this morning after arriving at the temple yesterday afternoon, having started from Kandy earlier in the day.
Today’s route is scheduled to pass through Mawanella, Beligammana, Kudugala Junction, Kegalle, and Galigamuwa, before reaching Tholangamuwa National School.
The peace walk will continue Sunday, April (26) from Tholangamuwa National School, proceeding through Ambepussa, Warakapola, Pasyala, Nittambuwa, and Thihariya, before arriving at Abeysekara Aramaya in Yakkala.
