Ehi Passiko” Peace Walk Enters Fifth Day from Tholangamuwa

COLOMBO : The fifth day of the “Ehi Passiko” peace walk, organized to promote global and inner peace, commenced Sunday, Apfrom Tholangamuwa National School.

The walk, led by Vietnamese monk Venerable Pannakara Thero along with 13 monks, is scheduled to proceed from Tholangamuwa through Kajugama and Nittambuwa before reaching Abeysekara Aramaya in Yakkala.

On the fourth day yesterday, the peace walk began from the Vidyawardhana Pirivena Pothgul Viharaya in Mawanella and concluded at Tholangamuwa National School.

The walk is set to continue tomorrow (27) towards the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya, where a special Dhamma discussion is planned with the participation of university students and Dhamma school children.

Following this, the final leg of the journey will proceed from Kelaniya to Independence Square, where a state ceremony will be held under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

The peace walk, which began on the 21st from the Dambulla Rajamaha Viharaya, aims to raise awareness among the public on global peace and inner harmony.
