COLOMBO: The Ministry of Education together with the National Science Foundation (NSF), various science and technology centres around the country , the university system and training Institutes launched the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Aesthetics and Mathematics) education programme throughout the country.
The event was held at the Nawarangahala, Royal College under the auspices of the Minister of Education, Susil Premajayantha with the attendance of various senior Education Ministry and Ministry of Science and Technology officials. Several members of the diplomatic corps were also in attendance.
The event was attended by students and teachers of the Western Province with the other provincial schools.
