COLOMBO — The Board of Trustees of the Colombo Grand Mosque hosted an “ Ifthar “ ceremony at the Mosque premises on Thursday March 21.
President of the Board of Trustees Thahir Razeen delivered the welcome address.
Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Vidura Wickramanake was present as chief guest.
The President of the Mosque Thahir Razeen presented some donations to Minister Vidura Wickramanayaka on behalf of the Mosque to the people of Gaza.
Inter Religious Alliance for the National Unity Co – Chairman Al Hafil Ash Seyed Dr. Hassan Moulana conducted special prayers at the ceremony.
Member of Parliament A.H.M. Fowzie, formrt MP Mujeebur Rahuman, Muslim Religious and Cultural affairs Department Director Z.A.M. Faizal, Former Ambassador of Palestine Fawzan Anver, Chairman of the Hajj Committee Ibrahim Ansar , Ajwadul Fassiya Arabic College Principal and Ummu Zavaya Chief Katheeb Kaleefathul Shazuli Ahamed Sufi Mahlari , Dewatagaha Jumma Mosque President Riyaz Salley, Walkf Board Chairman M.L.M. Mohideen, Former Grand Mosque Chairman Thaufiq Zubyr, Members of the Board of Trustees of the Mosque and Ulamas were present. Secretary of the Mosque Faris Farmy proposed the vote of thanks.
