Dr Haroon appointed chairman of the Dewatagaha mosque

ÇOLOMBO : Dr. Aboobacker Admani Mohamed Haroon has been appointed as the new chairman of the Dewatagaha mosque by the Wakf Board. He replaces Reyyaz Salih.who held this office earlier.

Dr Harroon is is a Sri Lankan medical practitioner with over 40 years of service. He graduated from King Edward Medical College in Lahore and has been a trusted Family Physician since 1984. His practice has served a diverse clientele, including diplomats, airline crews, and hospitality professionals. Dr. Haroon is also a successful entrepreneur, leading ventures in healthcare, textiles, and renewable energy. He currently chairs Colombo Medilab and several other companies under the Lucky Group. His dedication to ethical medical practice and community service is widely recognized. As Treasurer of the Independent Medical Practitioners Association, he was recently honored with a Long Service Recognition Award. Dr. Haroon is actively involved in civic organizations, including the World Memon Organization and the Sri Lanka–Pakistan Friendship Association. He is fluent in multiple languages and known for his cross-cultural engagement. His career reflects a lifelong commitment to excellence, leadership, and service.
