COLOMBO – Dr. Rizvie Salih, the Deputy Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament and a seasoned medical practitioner, has been invited to participate in the Global Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) Conference 2025, scheduled to take place from June 11 to 13 in Berlin, Germany. This prestigious event brings together global policymakers, climate experts, and global leaders to advance the development and implementation of NDCs, which are central to the Paris Agreement’s climate action framework.

Dr. Salih’s participation underscores Sri Lanka’s commitment to addressing climate change and its dedication to international collaboration in achieving sustainable development goals. The Global NDC Conference 2025 aims to catalyze ambition and facilitate access to financial flows from a broad donor landscape, with a particular focus on private sector engagement to bridge the climate finance gap. The conference will feature plenary sessions, interactive workshops, and solution labs addressing themes such as ambition and implementation, finance, and practical solutions for NDC execution.
