Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs launches new website

COLOMBO : The official website www.muslimaffairs.gov.lk of the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs was launched in Friday, May 10.

It has been introduced under the brainchild and guidance of Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Hon. Vidura Wickremanayake.

Through this website, the public can get all the information regarding Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs at a single glance.

Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Hon. Vidura Wickremanayake headed by him in the said event, Thikamadulla District Member of Parliament S.M.M Musharraf, Chairman of Haj Committee and its members, members of Wakf Board, Officers of Hindu and Christian Departments, Officers of Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs and many others participated in the event.

Also, the guidance and efforts of the Director of Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs, Z.A. Faisal made this website possible. Also, Assistant Directors Ala Ahmed, N. Nilufar and accountant Nibras also supported this.

Through this new website, you can get all the information related to Mosque, Arabic Colleges, Quranic Madrasa, Ahadiyah and informations related to Hajj and Umrah. For example, you can get information on the documents which are required to register a mosque.

Further, informations related to visa, information related to the Sri Lanka Wakf Board, information related to Sri Lankan Wakf Tribunal, information related to the Haj Committee can also be obtained through the new website launched by the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs.

In addition, the information of all the departments under the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs can be accessed through this new website.

This website has been developed based on the idea of the Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Hon. Vidura Wickremanayake to degitalize all the departments.

It is noteworthy that the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs is the first who introduced and launched among the departments under the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs.
