COLOMBO: Denara Training Institute was established in October 2021 with a vision of training young women of all communities living in Sri Lanka in technical and social skills.Why Denara? Because, the name is of Persian origin which refers to “children of heaven and earth ” .
International Women’s Day is celebrated worldwide on 8th March celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. International Women’s Day has been celebrated for well over a century since 1911. Today, International Women’s Day belongs to all groups collectively everywhere and is not confined to any country, group or organisation.
The Denara Training Institute intends to Celebrate International Women’s Day with an Open Air Bazaar on Saturday 25th February 2023 from 9 am to 7 pm. It will provide a platform for all Women Entrepreneurs to showcase their talent and market their products. There have been reservations made by 45 stall holders including Food, Beverages, Clothig, Ceramics, Costume Jewellery and a variety of other products. There is also a children’s play area with Bouncy Castle, Fun Games, Pop Corn, Candy Floss, Ice Cream and Popsicles.
