COLOMBO – Report on the Meeting between the Cultural Counsellor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sri Lanka and the Director of the SAARC Cultural Centre
In line with expanding the cooperation between the Cultural Counsellorship of the Islamic Republic of Iran and regional institutions, on Tuesday July 21 the Cultural Counsellor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sri Lanka, Ali Kebriaei Zadeh, held a meeting with Dr. Kaushalya Kumarasinghe, Director of the SAARC Cultural Centre.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the historical, cultural, and civilizational commonalities between Iran and the member states of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). They also explored existing opportunities for cultural and artistic cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of pursuing areas of mutual cooperation with the aim of strengthening bilateral cultural relations.
